1:10 – Native Robin – 10/3 @ William Hill – Is 4 wins from 10 runs 40% in handicap chases. Shaped well on his first start since April when an eight length 4th of 9 in a better race at Wincanton, 24 days ago. The 8-year-old is just 3lb higher than for his last win and looks on a winnable mark.
2:20 – Corinthia Knight – 3/1 @ Coral & Bet365 – A previous C&D winner, whose 4 wins from 8 runs over the minimum trip. The 3-year-old showed tremendous early speed when a 1 ½ length 6th of 12 in a Listed race here 17 days ago. He was still in the lead just inside the final furlong but ran out of gas in the final 100yds. The drop back to the minimum trip will suit and he can go close if stall 8 isn’t to much of an inconvenience.
2:00 – Wemyss Point – 4/1 @ William Hill & Ladbrokes – Trainer Philip Kirby had a big race winner at Newbury on Saturday and could have another here. The 6-year-old has made a good start to the season winning two handicap hurdles at Wetherby. That made it 3 wins from 6 runs over hurdles for the gelding. He has to transfer his winning form from that track to here. Showed a good attitude at the finish last time and looks more than capable of staying today’s 3m trip and indeed improving for it.
