Dahlia Stakes and 1000 Guineas – Acorn Update

The 1000 Guineas

Our original piece pulled up the 4 large, priced entries which have, it seems, all currently been diverted to the Irish 1000 Guineas which is scheduled for 23rd May.

On that basis we have had to look for an alternative to place our hard earned cash from the stables we flagged up and that leaves us with three entries:

Mother Earth (9/1) – A P O’Brien

Santa Barbara (15/8) – A P O’Brien

Star of Emaraaty (66/1) – John and Thady Gosden (A new recruit to the stable from the Kevin Ryan yard).

As we said we were leaving the O’Brien runners alone that leaves us with the 66/1 shot Star of Emaraaty as a small each way bet. Finished 5th of 10 runners over a 7f race and weakened in the final furlong which may not bode well, but as we know, anything is possible…

Back Star of Emaraaty Each Way (66/1)

Dahlia Stakes

We have 1 selected runner in the Dahlia Stakes tomorrow and that is Freyja (currently 10/1) – Back Each Way.

Back Freyja Each Way (10/1)
