Friday's results not included

FAVOURITES: Winning favourites on this Newmarket course show 215-644 for 33.39% and a level stake loss of -67.73.

TRAINERS: There are 7 named trainers from out two leader boards running 28 horses, and it is hard to imagine a trainer outside those named winning a race on Friday. The big guns are here and with some lovely horses!

JOCKEYS: We have 2 jockeys from our leader board shouting at us for Friday. William Buick (22%) has 7 rides whilst Jim Crowley (20%) has 4. Winners are certain to come from this duo!

Outside of our top 2 nominated jockeys Hollie Doyle (14%) has 5 rides and a couple have squeaks; husband Tom Marquand (14%) has 7 rides but only 1 of those likely to trouble the judge. Rob Havlin (16%) has 3 rides, but Ryan Moore (18%) has 6 rides and certain to be involved at the business ends!

OWNERS: Godolphin (24%) have 8 runners on Friday and certain to record winners given their fantastic figures at both courses. The advice is if you are not backing a Godolphin runner at this course or the July course, then best not take one on!

BY THE WAY: From 24 August to 22 September William Buick shows 35-86 for 40.7% (+32.53). Those rides were not at Wolverhampton and as the level stake profit shows not on odds-on favourites. Charlie Appleby in the same time period shows 17-46 for 37.0% (+2.47). They combine with 4 tomorrow…

With the longest straight in Britain and just one turn to negotiate in distance races, this is a lovely course to ride. Surprisingly, though, there are one or two ridges, even before the run down into the Dip, and you need to ride them smoothly. The other thing a jockey has to remember is that it’s a long way up that finishing hill – you’ll see plenty caught in the closing stages. Because of the chalk base, it can ride very lively, and the wind direction is vital. Getting cover is so, so important when it’s in your face – Jason Weaver
