The official results for the service are recorded either to 1 point win or 1 point win and place at Betfair SP.
So that’s one point to win in the Betfair Win market and one point to place in the Betfair Place market.
The reason we record the results this way is detailed below.
First which Betfair market do we use for the place part of the bet?
We use the market for the standard place terms.
On the desktop site Betfair list that market as the first of the place markets, but if in doubt click on the eachway tab and at the top it will state the eachway terms.
So in the screenshot below you can see in the each-way tab it says “EW Terms: 1/5 odds, 3 places” so we use the Top 3 market for our place bets.
Why do we bet Win & Place
The reason we bet win and place is because most of our members like the higher strike rate that comes from picking up lots of placed horses.
A lot of punters only lose because they quit too early when they hit a losing run or they raise their stakes too soon when they hit a winning spell.
Betting win and place smooths out the runs and helps us all keep level headed.
You will have a higher return on the money you stake from betting win only and if you are confident that you won’t be swayed by a big losing run then you can bet that way. But our results will be mostly to win and place, we will state in oour email whether a bet is to win only or win and place.
