We thunder into the final week of our February competition with the field still tightly bunched and the prize very much up for grabs.

As flagged in last week’s bulletin, Binxy is a non-runner in this heat, having failed to declare a sufficient number of selections to remain in contention. That leaves the way clear at the head of affairs for The Gaffa, who sets the pace with a commanding ROI of 66.77%, a performance worthy of clear favouritism as we swing for home.

Hot on the leader’s heels is Informed Fancies, producing a stirring late challenge and climbing back up the standings with real intent. The chasing pack doesn’t end there, either. Poleaxe is travelling strongly just off the principals, while last month’s champion, Viewpoint Racing on the All Weather, is staying on dourly and refusing to surrender their crown without a fight.

Meanwhile, NH Jumpers has lost momentum at a crucial stage, sliding down the table over the past week and now needing a dramatic turnaround to re-enter the shake-up.
