Gordo Wins April Competition as Connect 4 Rallies Late
April brought plenty of action, and now that the numbers are in, we can finally wrap up the month and crown our standout performer.
After a competitive stretch filled with swings in form, late surges, and a few unexpected dips, Gordo emerges as our April champion. With 33 wins from 109 bets and a strong return profile, Gordo combined consistency with profitability to edge ahead of the field. A strike rate just over 30% paired with a healthy ROI of 42.08% proved to be the winning formula in what was a closely watched contest.
There were, however, a few notable storylines worth highlighting.

MH-Selections posted arguably the most eye-catching ROI in the table, finishing with an impressive 64.20%. Unfortunately, the number of selections fell short of the required threshold, ruling them out of contention. It’s a reminder that consistency over volume remains a key part of the competition criteria, not just short bursts of high performance.
Meanwhile, Connect 4 delivered one of the most exciting narratives of the month. A strong late rally saw profits climb significantly, ultimately finishing with the highest total profit in the group. However, a strike rate of 14.60% raised concerns about sustainability and consistency. On top of that, there was a noticeable shift in selection strategy midway through April. The late success suggests that the new approach could have real potential, and it will be particularly interesting to see how this develops over a full month going forward.
Elsewhere, several participants hovered around solid but unspectacular performances, while others struggled to find momentum. As always, the table reflects just how challenging it is to balance strike rate, volume, and profitability over time.
Our May competition is already now underway, and if April taught us anything, it’s that the leaderboard can change quickly.
