A 30 runner race, I don't know how many it is sensible to bet in a 30 runner race but Victor Value have gone with three against the field.

They have bets for the supporting races as well, so if you fancy a day in front of the telly with plenty of thrills and not too many spills you can join Victor Value here https://victorvalue.uk

Here's the VV National shortlist and finalised selections.

5:00 – BoyleSports Irish Grand National (Grade 3) – 3m5f

A typical Irish National—competitive, deep, and full of potential improvers.

The Jukebox Kid impressed with his jumping when winning the Grade 2 Reynoldstown Novices’ Chase at Ascot and looks the type for this race. Going right-handed suits, and this has clearly been the plan since he won last time.

Soldier In Milan should be much better suited by this step up in trip. His latest Thurles run behind C’est Ta Chance came over an inadequate distance, and he looks a staying type. Potentially well treated on handicap debut and whilst softer ground would enhance his claims, he should be fine on drying ground.

C’est Ta Chance is improving over fences (2 from 4). Stamina for 3m5f isn’t guaranteed but if he stays, he looks nicely treated.

Goraibhmaithagat shaped well when a head second in the Leinster National last time. He improved for the step up to 3m1f last time and today’s longer trip could unlock further improvement in the 8yo.

Flicker Of Hope ran too badly to be true last time. Prior to that he had looked progressive winning novice chases at Fairyhouse and Naas. His earlier form suggests he’s progressive, and he could bounce back on handicap debut.

Shanbally Kid returned to form when fourth in the Leinster National last time. He stays well and could outrun big odds if his jumping holds up.

Showurappreciation and Search For Glory also merit respect. The former is bidding for a hat trick. Whilst the latter fell at the last when still in contention in the Ultima Handicap Chase at Cheltenham.

Flicker Of Hope: £5 win – 16/1 – Coral & Ladbrokes

The Jukebox Kid: £5 win – 7/1 – Coral & Ladbrokes

Goraibhmaithagat: £5 win – 11/1 – Coral & Ladbrokes

Good luck with all your bets today.

All the best
