The Ebor festival is not the place to be backing outsiders, nearly 60% of the winners come from the first three in the betting, it's a course where a horses true ability is shown and the best horse wins.
Horses that won last time out are profitable and have an A/E of 1.11
Another thing you may want to note is that since 2017 every horse that started shorter than 1/2 SP has won for a 41% ROI.
