G&G – selections inside

It's Goodwood and Galway this week and I'm going to share some selections from our stable of tipsters and see if we can give you some winners.

Alex has two today.

He thinks that the 2:30 is set up for a strong finisher to come and scoop the prize at a big price.

If you want that selection you can try Pep's Big Race Tips for just £5 for 14 days, money back if not satisfied – Click Here for that

He also has a shorter, some would say more obvious selection and that is…

17:30  Goodwood  Dubai Treasure  2.00  Point(s)  Win

Dubai Treasure won a handicap at Lingfield in June, burning off her rivals from the front over 7f. She was on fumes at the end, but she already had the race sewn up. At York last time, she cantered into the race and looked the winner under 2f out, but she emptied out. Pace is her forte and I think the 7f stretches her. I love the angle of her dropping to 6f today and she should thrive for it.

John Burke has an offer for Goodwood week and it includes all his Galway selections as well as the Goodwood action.

At Galway he has bet two in the 6:20…

Galway

6:40 – COLM QUINN BMW Mile Handicap (Premier Handicap) – 1m ½f

A tricky Galway feature race and I like the look of three albeit I wont be backing them all.

Dunum has been well below his best on two starts this season, but he tends to need a few runs to reach peak fitness and has won and run well at previous Galway Festival’s. Has dropped down the weights and is now 8lb lower than when a length 3rd of 16 here (7f) 12 months ago. Handicapped to win if bouncing back to form.

Norwalk Havoc shaped like he needed his belated seasonal reappearance when 6th of 11 in a Group 3 at Leopardstown last month. He was beaten a neck in last year’s race off 3lb lower and this has likely been the plan. All his three career wins have come on heavy ground so the more testing the ground the better.

Grey Leader shaped like he’s working his way to winning form when a 2 ½ lengths 2nd of 11 at Killarney 15 days ago. Won a handicap over C&D 12 months ago and can race off the same mark here. This is a better race than he won last year but he’s versatile ground wise and is handicapped to go close.
