I didn't ever watch Boys From The Black Stuff, it came at a time when I was hanging out at the rec, which for younger readers is something kids used to do before smartphones 🙂
But everybody heard of Yosser Hughes

Bernard Hill who played the part lived near us until he passed in 2024.
I know that because every time we walked past his house Debbie would say "that's where Bernard Hill lives".
So why am I talking about Yosser Hughes today, well partly because it's just the way my mind works and mostly because we'd like to supplement our writing team with some fresh blood.
