Losing runs suck

I'm going to talk about losing runs again today.

There's a lot of value to be found in big priced selections and a lot of joy when you land one at a huge price.

The downside is the strike rate, it's gonna be low.

And a low strike rate means long losing runs.

Most people are surprised when they see just how long losing runs can be even at short odds.

We have a calculator for longest losing runs and it's good practice to put your numbers in there to see what losing runs you can expect and to calculate how big a bank you need.

Here's the numbers for Dan's Shorties, this is a short priced service (average price 5/2) with a high strike rate that finds value at the head of the market and which I consider a very consistent service.

It has an excellent 33.82% strike rate but in a thousand bets we can expect a longest losing run of 17. 

We haven't had one that long, but if you know you couldn't cope with that there is no point joining!

If you can handle it and you put aside a big enough bank, like Stephen 👆, then it has been pretty much a guaranteed side income for members.

If you want to win you need to set aside a bank and when you have a profitable source of selections you need to understand and accept that there will be uncomfortable losing runs along with the jolly nice winning runs.
