Lucky fella – doubled profit
I follow a lot of different betting strategies and tipsters… and yes, sometimes I make mistakes.

Well, last weekend I had the opposite experience.
I was backing a selection from FormHorse Select — a 3‑point bet. I’m staking £10 per point at the moment.
We have three and a half months of proofing for Paul's selections and I start everything with small stakes and build as my confidence builds. £10 is where I'm at and it's looking good for an increase soon.
Here’s the thing: I usually split my bets — half at the early odds, half at Betfair SP — to cover myself in case of a drift.
But on Sunday afternoon, betting on my phone (small screen, tired eyes…), I hit the wrong buttons. I had £15 at the live price but instead of my usual £15 at BSP, I’d placed £51 at BSP.
When I checked later that night, my profit was far higher than expected. My mistake turned into a very happy one 🤑.
