Sore head

The excitement of seeing my daughter who lives in that London most of the time was all too much for me and too much Belgium beer and Italian wine was consumed.

That combined with the late night has made for a sluggish Darren this morning.

When I feel like this I don't go searching for my own bets, I will only bet from trusted sources.

Before I headed out for the day I had a chat with Pete Last who runs the Ten Pound Tipster service which I mentioned yesterday and he was telling me about a change that he made at the end of March which has put his service back on the trusted sources list for a lot of people and which luckily coincided with the recent review I mentioned.

As I've mentioned before Pete's bets are pretty much all derived from systems that have resulted from articles in On Course Profits and I'm flattered by that because we all want to know that what we do is worthwhile and helping people.

But Pete only ever tips a maximum of four horses in a day and on days when he has more than four he discards some.

It used to be that he discarded the big priced 'no hopers' but in March he realised that this was the wrong strategy.

He analysed the past results for all the systems and found he was throwing away a lot of profit.

So he switched things up and started keeping the big ones and culling the shorties.

He still bets short ones on the days when there are only a few selections, but when there are lots, out go the overbet favourites and in come the big priced fancies.

The turn around has been amazing.

Since April 1st the Ten Pound Tipster has recorded a 54.93 point profit at Betfair SP after commission.

This is super interesting because the other big sensation of the moment The Raiders also targets big priced selections and that has done amazingly well.

Readers who joined the Ten Pound Tipster yesterday got off to a winning start, if you'd like to join use the link below.

There was some talk of changing the name to the Twenty Pound Tipster, but there would be no price increase for existing subscribers!
