A lot of people have asked if we can list the runners each day from Sean Trivass' list of profitable trainers with their first time jumpers, so we have now added that to the Platinum member area.
Yesterday I decided to check our Travelling Profits service for betting place only.

This is a service that makes a huge return on investment, but people don't like it because the strike rate is only 17%.
That suggests a longest losing run of 34!
A 64% ROI and a 30 point per month profit don't count for anything if followers quit before the next winner comes along and we've just had a losing run of 19 (Followed by a winner at 31.42 BSP)
Anyway point is that it's a hard service for most to follow and I thought it would be an ideal candidate for betting Place Only.
But I was wrong, a check of the last three months shows place only would have lost 10 points whereas betting to win produced 88 points profit.
If you pay attention to the odds in the Betfair places markets you'll notice that for bigger priced selections the Place BSP is considerably worse than traditional bookmaker eachway terms
The worst case I found in the Travelling Profits results was a Place BSP of 1/7th of the win BSP.
Over all the selections the Place BSP averages just over 1/5th but varies between 1/2 the BSP and 1/7th.
