This race has been a tough race for me in the past, but two catch the eye this year.
Aeolian, a half-sister to smart stayer Desert Hero, shaped like a nice prospect when winning a Newmarket novice and looks a filly going the right way. Up in class, but with a Group 1 entry and a yard that has won this three times since 2013, she’s respected.
Irish raider Alice Monet arrives on the back of two wins, including a Leopardstown handicap last time. She’s been getting things her own way in front, which won’t be as easy here, but Dermot Weld has won this twice before and she looks progressive.
