A couple more days

Well I had the biggest response I've ever had to an email yesterday with lots of readers voting for more snippets from Smart Value Tips.

The only nays I had were from people who have already joined Smart Value Tips and that's fair enough.

We have the new issue of On Course Profits out Friday, so I'll share some SVT content today and tomorrow and then I'll move on.

By the way Microsoft have had another one of their squeezes on delivery of betting related emails. If you have a Hotmail, Live or Outlook email address I urge you to add our address to your safe senders list (support@oncourseprofits.com) so they know that you want to see our mails!

They do deliver eventually, but eventually is not good enough. A Gmail account is best in my opinion!

So Smart Value Tips.

It was another winning day yesterday with just over 3 points profit on the day for 5 points staked.

Today Martin only has one bet and I can't share the only account bet when others have paid for the full service, but I can share some stats that will help you today…

Donald McCain Jr’s horses are always worth a second glance when running at Catterick. 39% place strike rate from 152 National Hunt runners over the past 5 seasons is an impressive achievement and has also produced 26 winners (17%).

Tomorrow he sends 4 horses to the North Yorkshire track to run in 4 different types of races. (Worth noting he sent 4 to the meeting earlier in the month and secured a double). You could actually argue a strong case for each holding good chances. 

McCain Jr’s 5 year figures in January at Catterick are pretty solid overall

• All January races at Catterick : 52 runners 9 winners (17%) 22 placed (42%)
• January record for Class 5 4yo+ Handicap Hurdles at Catterick (1+ run in H’caps and season) ; 7 runners 2 winners 4 placed
• All months at Catterick Class 5 4yo+ Handicap Hurdles (1+ runs in H’caps and season) ; 16 runners 3 winners (19%) and 8 placed (50%)

That's an extract from the message that Martin sent to SVT members last night.

I will try and add some value to that to give a little extra to those that have already joined SVT.

The Donald McCain runners at Catterick are as follows and I've added my comments to them…

12:47 – Gold Emery

This is a wide open race, a handicap for horses 10 year old + all pretty exposed and any of them could win. Gold Emery looks like it will lead. It could win but I see no reason to bet it!

13:17 – Alsakib

Up against an odds on favourite, it is a big field but hard to bet against the favourite.

13:47 – Count Adhemar

Likely to race race prominent in a field of hold up horses, could improve, possible bet!

15:20 – Romancier

I can see no reason to back this. Looking at our database I see 5 different horses have been tipped in this race! 

Fair to say that if I hadn't of read Martin's stats I wouldn't have considered any of these as a bet today, will be interesting to  see if any prevail.
