Don’t overthink it

We got Shady Bay placed yesterday. BSP on the place was 2.42, I managed to get 3.0 for a point profit on the race.

Here's a thought about systems betting.

Systems succeed because they find value bets.

If you've got a system that makes a long term profit it will probably be because of some big priced bets that it finds along the way.

If you then try and pick just one or two selections from those that your system finds it's likely that you won't pick those outliers, because you will look for the bet that you think most likely to win.

So for example I looked through the system selections yesterday and decided Shady Bay would be the selection I shared, it had been picked by a good system and it had a good chance on form.

I would never have selected Two For Joy which was a selection from Matt's Micro Systems.

That won at a BSP of 22.0

I'm not saying you should bet all the selections from all the systems we publish, that would be a lot of bets each day, but if you decide a system is worth following, then follow all the selections from that system even if you think they have no chance!

Good luck with your bets today

All the best
