Profit from Psychological Betting

The main footie season is now over halfway in and I’m very encouraged yet again to see many of my Quick-fire members following my unique angles to betting.

One of which is ‘Profit Thrashing’. If a team gets an ‘out of character’ thrashing one week, then we look to back them at a good price the next week the theory been they are keen to quickly restore their professional pride.

Here’s a classic example of what I mean.

Blackburn were unbeaten in their last 6 matches and look what happened when they met Fulham at Home.

Yes, a 7-0 thrashing! Now that’s what I call an out of character result.

So, I then put Blackburn down in my notebook and looked to back them at all costs in their next match so long as they were playing in the next 7 days or less.

A point to note, I would call a thrashing when the winning team has won by 4 clear goals e.g., 4-0, 5-1, 6-2 etc.

So, Blackburn were playing Sheff Utd in their next match and that was 3 days later on the 6th of November.

I was expecting slightly better odds than normal for a Blackburn win due to the previous weeks hammering, and subsequently they were priced up at a decent 11/4 (3.75). For me that was one of the bets of the season based on the above theory…

Many would of course swerved Blackburn after that thrashing but not me!

I saw this as a massive over reaction and was expecting Blackburn to be on a revenge mission to win at all costs even against an inform Sheffield UTD.

Blackburn certainly restored their professional pride as you can see below…

I make no apologies for this shameless plug as my ‘Against the grain’ approach can certainly bring home the bacon and I have many of them within Quick Fire for all sports.

It’s a great little strategy and we can get some decent odds and healthy win strike rate. Therefore, good prices + good strike rate = healthy long term profits.

There are a few more crucial filters to look out for with this method that all my delighted Quick-fire members will be well aware of and above you have the core rules to get you going and make some nice profits.

This game is all about looking for unique approaches instead of following the masses, and that’s what it’s all about – keeping ahead of the crowds.

See you next time!
