I'm always looking for new ways to add little bits of income to my monthly take.
Betting always will be up and down, it's the nature of the beast, as they say, so anything extra I can add, especially if it takes no work, then I'm interested.
The latest thing came from a young friend, son of a friend actually, who is into programming.
He's been telling me for months how he's coding this software that auto trades crypto coins on Coinbase.
It runs on a Raspberry Pi, which is a tiny cheap assemble yourself computer (like this)
My daughter asked me what I wanted for my birthday last month so I asked for a Raspberry Pi.
I got that and had it set up around the middle of last month.
Deposited a hundred pound into Coinbase and after a bit of Googling managed to get this trading software running.
It runs 24/7 looking for trades using a similar strategy to the Turtle Traders, did I mention this book before?
So it's been running for 3 weeks and it has made zero trades!
Apparently the correct conditions have not been met.
In the Turtle book they do say that the traders would do nothing for weeks on end waiting for the right conditions!
At least it's not losing anything.
The friend is talking about a less strict trader he has in the works, we'll see if that materialises.
This one is costing nothing to run so I'll leave it and see what occurs.
