As is often the case, the shorties treble was foiled at the first hurdle yesterday as Sun Goddess could only manage second in the Albany.
But there were still 4 winning favourites, and nothing bigger than 8/1, so a day for the punters!

It’s the final day of Royal Ascot today and while it has gone downhill for me since Day 1, I’m still ahead despite a couple of unlucky beats along the way.
I’m going to give you two today to combine for a potential each way double to end the festival.
Amiloc is overpriced in the Hardwicke at 3.05pm, having won over course and distance at this meeting twelve months ago.
He was a disappointing odds-on favourite on his return to action at York, but it was over a trip too far and I expect better today.
Morris Dancer is also way too big in the Jersey at 4.20pm. He’s won 2 of 4 starts, as well as pushing Group 1 winner Zavateri close at Goodwood. He was a 4-length Listed winner when we last saw him. He shouldn't be 20/1.
I hope I’ve been an able deputy for Darren this week and you’ve enjoyed my insight.
Best of luck on the final day of Royal Ascot as well as the rest of the flat season!
Alex

On Saturday our free tips were both placed (6 places on the National) for 2.46 points profit on the day, but Aintree was 1.54 points lost for the free tips overall 🙁 Twice as likely to win, that's the message from Dave Renham about low draws at Redcar over 7 furlongs and a mile. Dave…
[[EXCERPT_START]] No joy with Bronte Beach yesterday but the 66/1 chance that Martin mentioned as an extra paid off, I got 10.0 in the 4 places market and it finished 4th 🙂 It's another no bet day for our sponsor Travelling Profits so I'll keep talking about Smart Value Tips who continue to impress. I've got a…
